Kyrie and Lillard both need to become better defensive players before they get that superstar label. Anthony Davis has the potential to be a superstar and I think he'll be the next player to get MVP outside of Durant and Lebron. Kids that aren't quite in the league yet I'd guess Embiid and Thon Maker. Kids looks like they could be studs.

casual fans don't really care about defense so you don't need to play much of any to get to superstar type status.

Yeah we've seen multiple superstars that don't play great defense. It just means they will probably never turn that that superstardom into any actual playoff success.

Anthony Davis.

CP is already 29years old... Dwight is 28years old.

Griffin actually could, and I hate Griffin. But if he continues to improve he could end up being a super star.

John Wall could. Elite athlete with a crazy amount of talent and is already 1 of the best passers in the NBA.

Andre Drummond could become the most dominant center in the game since Shaq.

DeMarcus Cousins is 1 of the most talented bigs in the league already. and still young If he can keep his head on straight he has the talent, skill, and overall game to be an absolute stud.

Im a big Damian Lillard fan, but think hes somewhat overrated and overhyped. Hes clutch as hell and all that... but hes a PG that shoots 42% and averages the same amount assists as Joakim Noah does... I think hes more of a 2 guard than a PG. And hes really just a bad defender... I was hoping to see him improve in his efficiency from last year to this year, but didnt happen. So until I see that from him, I dont know if I would say hes a future "Superstar". Still a damn good player though.

Paul George is 1 of my favorite players in the NBA and is 1 already 1 of the best 2 way players in the NBA. He has the talent to be a superstar, no doubt about that. And, once he matures and becomes a smarter basketball player, I think he will become a superstar. I want to see him improve on his shot selection though. He settles for jumpers way too much... and hes a really good shooter and all but with his size, athleticism, and leaping ability I would like to see him attack the rim more.

Im a huge Paul George fan... but I think Kawhi Leonard is already better than him, regardless of his stats. If he was the go to option for the Spurs like George is for the Pacers, he would have just as good of stats and way more efficient than Paul George. And the biggest difference between the 2 is that Kawhi is mentally stronger than PG. PG is still sort of intimidated by LBJ... and Kawhi isnt. Kawhi has outplayed LBJ these last 2 games in the NBA finals and has just been putting it on the Heat and LBJ. Hes the Spurs go to guy right now, on the biggest stage you can have in the NBA... and hes doing more than anyone thought he could, at 22years old. This is the type of player he can be if he was the go to guy for an entire season... he could be a 25ppg, 9rebs, 4assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks while shooting over 50% from the field kinda guy. And playing great D.

All of these guys could become superstars... but the 1 that I am more sure that will become a superstar is Anthony Davis... and he will be 1 next year. I think he will average 25ppg, 11 rebs, 2.5blocks, and shooting over 50% per game next year.

That's true. I guess it just depends on who is giving the superstar label. I'm sure some people give it to James Harden, but I think most knowledgable basketball fans wouldn't do so because they understand defense is a part of the game.

Anthony Davis.

He's already putting up all time great numbers for his age.

Most importantly, he's marketable. While he may not have a flamboyant personality, he has proven that he isnt afraid to be goofy and put himself out there. Couple that with the unibrow, and companies have something to work with.

The icing on the cake obviously will be turning the Pelicans around, getting them to the playoffs, getting more national televised games.

Im not being a homer, but any other answer is wrong.

Demarcus Cousins and John Wall? wtf. lol

John Wall is coming into his own in a big market on an up and coming team. He's definitely marketable.

DeMarcus Cousins, though…not so much.

Should have been an all-star. He is an extremely likable character.

I think most Pelican fans already consider Davis a top 5 or 6 player...didn't stop him from dominating the list.

Cousins' problem isn't just techs... he likes to pout and sulk and it affects his game when things don't go his way. That's a terrible trait for a competitor. And it's terrible traits for a leader.
