Who is the most accurate bracketologist out there?

Palm? Lunardi? Someone else?

Lunardi and it's not close

Lunardi is usually pretty accurate. He usually nails 66 or 67 of the 68 team field and has pretty good gauge on seeding. Except for LSU who will undoubtedly be a seed or 2 below projections.

Lunardi the best at predicting the field, although his seeding is usually a bit off.

Lunardi on who gets in. He isn't real great on seeding, but who is?

Why do people think it’s Lunardi? Bracket matrix does a 5 year ranking to rank how accurate they are. Lunardi is 55th and Jerry Palm is 100th.
There are much better sources for bracket predictions and Lundari routinely missing basic bracket rules. On today’s bracket he had Alabama facing SDSU who they already played and a potential rematch against Iona in the second round. Neither of these would be allowed.

You can have rematches if non conference. You can’t have conference play until sweet 16.
Each of the top four teams selected from a conference shall be placed in different regions if they are seeded on the first four lines.
Teams from the same conference shall not meet before the regional final if they played each other three or more times during the regular season, to include the conference tournament.
Teams from the same conference shall not meet before the regional semifinals if they played each other twice during the regular season, to include the conference tournament.
Teams from the same conference may play each other as early as the second round if they played no more than once during the regular season, to include the conference tournament.
If possible, rematches of nonconference regular-season games should be avoided in the First Four and first round.

Lunardi is incredibly over rated

Lunardi is great I agree, but I still go with Bracket Matrix and go with what the consensus goes with because the comm. is so bad.

Bracket matrix is good but they have a few brackets that are clearly formula driven that screw things up. Like a bracket that will have a consensus 1 seed as a 4 or a team every other bracket has out of the tournament as a 9 seed.

So why wouldn’t SDSU be swapped with the other 12 seed in this scenario?

that's actually the entire point of having bracket matrix to consolidate all of them and NOT have it screw things up.

I wouldn’t give Lunardi too much credit for how many teams he has in the tournament. If you follow college basketball, then you can probably get 65-67 of them right. Conference autos swallow up almost half the field, and at-larges generally go to the next 30 obvious teams. If you follow college basketball, you know who those teams are in a given season. The bubble teams are the hardest 3-5 spots to nail down.
The seedings are where these guys should be judged.
