Bo Jackson is the best athlete of all time...period.
But - probably cause of his injuries in college...his career in CFB wasn't that spectacular if you're rating based off of numbers or plays.
Reggie Bush was a human joystick but couldn't run between the tackles. Depends what you're looking for.
This will get laughs but seriously, the best player I ever saw in college was Warren Sapp. Dude could not be blocked...Nebraska couldn't block him in the Orange Bowl...he lived in the backfield and everyone's favorite player Tommie Frazier only shook loose in the 4th when Sapp's fat arse got tired because he and another guy were the only two worth a damn on that fading Miami dynasty. He was single-handily shutting Nebraska's juggernaut down.

Tebow undoubtedly had a better career than Cam. Cam's single season was perhaps the most impressive I've ever witnessed, but it was only one season.

Tommie Frazier wasn't reason NU won that game. It was Schlessinger and the I Backs just killing them on the zone. Sapp was done by halftime they kept running Iso and zones.
Iirc Brooke Berringer was the QB when NU finally started going and Frazier came back 2nd drive of 3rd Qtr.

I don't care...he was still the best freak I ever saw. Just dominated. Sapp was chasing them all down...I don't remember him being done at halftime but I do remember him huffing and puffing in the 4th and being bent over.
I hated Miami...but no other player has impressed me as much since I started watching CFB in the early 80's.

I thought Jerome Brown Cortez Kennedy were better than Sapp. They destroyed teams. Plus it allowed Stubbs be a beast off the edge.

Leinart had a great career. Tebow's was more impressive when you consider his rushing stats along with his passing stats, though.

He also had a RB that many in here are saying was the best CFB player ever, another RB that was even better on some days and a stable of 1st round picks at WR. I'm not saying Tebow had scrubs around him but Leinart had more offensive weapons than any QB in the history of CFB.

Leinart didn't even have more impressive career stats, though. Tebow's stats were more impressive across the board.

But couldn't beat out Thurman Thomas.
Sanders had a senior AA at WR Dykes who had 1000 and a Sr QB Gundy. I am not saying his season wasn't great but he wasn't only good player on his team

Fraizer came in in the 4th quarter after Berringer threw an int and that is when Nebraska flips the switch and just starts running over Sapp and the Miami D and score 15 points unanswered
