well they made the playoffs last year and advanced a round with peyton last year

are all arguably better than him now, take out the best WR in the game, and it'd be much more.
If you want to play that game...
Matt Schaub - best running game in the league and one of the top 3 wr in the league.
Matt Ryan - Best WR,WR,TE combo in the league and has Turner who was the #3 rusher in the league last year.
I think anyone would take those options over the Lions makeshift RB situation and 1 great WR.
Pretty much every QB except Manning, Brees, Brady, and Rodgers needs an above average running game to really be successful. The Lions are a very young team and their lack of the running game was bound to catch up to them.

The answer is Brees or Rodgers. People really don't seem to understand how bad the Saints would be without him. They're passing 75% of the time this season.

He's been huge (literally/non-literally) but they would still be an above average team without him..

What does it have to do with this? We've seen what happens when Brady and Peyton were out for the season. Pats still won 11 games. He's not the most important player in the league.
But Dude, Cassell is pretty good - that's why they did so well!!1111!one

...don't waste your time. You are responding to a poster who said the Lions were going to finish with a losing record last year.

1st off, my point was never to say Brady is the most important player in the league to his team. The Patriots have a better front office that wouldnt let that happen
My 2 main points were this:
1) You cant use Tom Bradys injured season and Peyton Mannings injured season to say why Peyton Manning is the most inportant to his team now. That was a different year, with a different team. How does how the Colts do without Manning have to do with how the Broncos would do without Manning? It makes no sense
2) The entire 2008 Patriots team and the 2011 Colts team are not comparable at all. They played different teams, had different players. You cant compare teams based on who they didnt have because you have no clue how the teams would have done with those players and dont act like you do. Its a ridculous argument that this board loves, when its not feasable at all.

Lol no they wouldn't. Before Joseph made that play yesterday he was the only player making plays on D.
How the frick does that make me a texans hater? He's having one of the best seasons in recent memory of any DL. Sacks, knocking down passes, INTs, playing the run. What the frick are you watching? He changes the game nearly every snap

Peyton Manning. He's out there with a bunch of average Joes and no names and winning, all the while beasting.
Tebow did the same thing with the same average Joes and no names.

The Broncos are averaging 28 points a game this year, the Broncos averaged 18.5 with Tebow last year.

AP for the Vikings. Christian Ponder is throwing all kinds of picks right now and only passed for 50 yards in their win yesterday.

Topic should be, "Which non-QB is most important to his team?"
I would vote for Adrian Peterson.
