So everyone else one the panel is one of the very top CFB minds and she is a token? None of the other people were chosen due to the power, influence, and connections they have in CFB? That seems to be what you are implying.
And does one really have to be the absolute top mind in a sporting field to select a 4 team playoff that will only be teams from P5 conferences 95% of the time?

So who do you think should be on the list?
Former Coaches, AD's, big time players (archie), and people who's job it is to cover CFB on a daily basis and have done so for an extended amount of time.
For the record, I dont like current AD's on the committee either.

Arkansas AD Jeff Long.
Former Air Force Academy superintendent Michael Gould.
Former Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese.
Former March Madness chief Tom Jernstedt.
Former Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Clemson AD Dan Radakovich.
USC AD Pat Haden.
West Virginia AD Oliver Luck.
Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez.
Here is the list so far More Beer. Give me some good reasons why each person on the list is a better choice than Condi

If David Pollack is smart, he will secure an interview with Ms. Rice. Let her go on the record a bit. Since he started this brouhaha he should end it.

You think Archie is going to be breaking down tape when he makes his selections?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Condi puts more effort into this than a lot of the others.

I missed Pollack's rant was it that bad?

This committee will cause more arguments than it ends.

And I will go out on a limb and say Archie probably doesnt need to put in as much effort as her

You honestly believe she is one of the top College football minds/authority in the nation?
She is intelligent. Believe it or not, the Committee will probably be bound by enumerated rules for selection. I'd rather have some lawyers and other accomplished individuals reading these rules rather than a bunch of slapdicks who cream every time they hear Alabama, LSU, or Oregon.

Throw for over 500 yards and 5 TD's and you belong on the "worst weekend" list. Ridiculous.
I think it's because all game long everyone expected him to make a mistake to give the game away to Denver.....and it happened.

That's dumb as all get out man.
You realize that former players often make the worst analysts don't you?
Just b/c somebody played well doesn't mean they know dick about what is going on in that sport now or are willing to put in the time to break down a team properly.
