This argument is always brought up. Owners get to end contracts whenever they like for players, but a player is a bitch when they want to do the same.

If you were traded to the Raiders, you wouldn't have shown yet either.

In short, yes he is.

If you were moved to a new job, would your employer be happy about you not showing up? This is a professional business.

In today's NFL, where the advantage is to the player's, players have no excuse. Players are way overpaid to even slightly complain about ownership. Contracts are almost a mockery to the players, whenever a player feels slightly underpaid, they'll holdout for a new contract.

Considering the beating and injuries NFL players deal with compared to NBA and MLB players, I would say they are underpaid.

You say when a player feels slightly underpaid he holds out, well when an owner feels the player isn't worth the money, he will simply cut him.

Yeah, I thought about that already. Al Davis will probably give Seymour 49% ownership if he took out Brady.

You people act like New England never gave him anything. They made the dude richer than any of us will ever be. These NFL players go into this KNOWING they could be traded or released at any time and agree to those terms. So yeah, he needs to get the sand out of his vag and get to work.

I hope his agent told him about the consequences.

Probably told him he holds all the cards right now and to hold out for a new deal.

After 5 days the Raiders can put him on the inactive list taking away a year of service, but they lose a 1st round pick and Seymour doesn't play this year.

He's not being a bitch at all. He's been a Patriot his whole career and has helped them win 3 titles. The Patriots are bitches for trading him in the first place. I might not show up the entire season.

Its pro sports. Trades and releases and shite happens. Its part of his job. How many guys have been traded in the NFL? Hes not the only one. But hes one of the few thats being a little bitch about it.

i'd do exactly what he's doing...

I think the guy has a family and four kids who probably just started school...he has enough money maybe he doest want to immediately jettison his family across the country just yet in less than 1 weeks time. It was shitty timing for him.

or in HS like me be a 5'9" 140 lb. DB, I was fast as frick, but stood hurt from collisions. I played in college also, but tore my knee up and was done, I did get up 6' feet though, but was in the process of building my scrawny body up.

Seymour has no choice but to holdout and get an extension cause the Raiders are going to slap him with the franchise tag when the season is over........hes probably thinking he will holdout and be forced to go back to NE.

Hasnt showed up yet, team plays on Monday, letting teammates down.
I though he was a high character type of guy. When you're paid millions of dollars to play football, the least you can do is be a fricking pro. Who gives a shite you thought you were getting a new deal from the Pats, the team signing your checks now is Oakland. The NFL is turning into a fricking drama.

He's in the twilight of his career. He was playing for a Super Bowl contender and now he is on the worst team in the league. He has no shot a t a pro-bowl there. I'd say that is a pretty significant blow.

Are you retarded? Jerry Jones just built a one BILLION dollar stadium. There isn't one NFL owner hurting for money.

Look, I would be upset too. They basically found a buyer who got swindled. He's not worth a 1st rounder, but the idiot Raiders agreed. He'll get over it and report if the Raiders don't budge. But if they move him, he's a genius.

Here's a question.......How does a bad guy like Randy Moss get to go from Oakland to NE, and a good guy like Seymour get to go from NE to Oakland?
