He doesn't want to retire.....has plenty left and you know he wants another good contract before retiring......extra play money!

The argument is always brought up because that is what the Collective Bargaining Agreement as signed by both the Player's Union and owners states.
The time to change this situation is when you are negotiating a new CBA. After you sign the agreement...a legal document...is not the time to start moaning, crying like a baby, and going back on your word (signature). Time to man up and take some personal responsibility.
