many places have no pro teams and based on what was on TV as a kid etc fav teams are chosen. louisiana had nothing but saints one the jazz left in late 70s. were people here expected to not have a mlb or nba or nhl team? or keep waiting on shite team like peliclowns? yeah f that. grew up watching braves on TBS and celtics on CBS on weekends. sure as shite wasn't switching allegiance once the hornets/peliclowns came to town.

I always figured the Braves were the team of the south as there wasn't anything else. I understand the WGN aspect, but the passionate nationwide Cubbies fans make me laugh. Winning the world series was the best thing, though, as they are not really a big deal anymore.

Dodgers fans. Not even saying it because of the current NLCS series either.

Been to several Diamondback games where they weren't playing LA and there were obnoxious LA fans there just acting like arse. This was in the 2006-12 time frame (1x WC berth, 2x NL West titles for LA during that period).

Nationals fans are kinda overtaking Cubs fans in the "I pull for this team because X, but I don't know shite about baseball" crowd category. Yeah. We get it. You moved to DC/NOVA to get some tax payer funded, sucking on the government tittie job (or in a field related to it), didn't give a frick about baseball when you lived back wherever the frick you came from, and adopted the Nationals to show how much you are trying to embrace the area.

"Hey, what's the Red, White, and Blue E.L.B. thing above the numbers in the outfield?"

frick the right on off.

You can identify the real baseball fans in that area because they are all either Braves or Orioles fans.

Oh nice. Red Sox have some good fans and some bandwagon a-holes like a lot of other teams.

Pirates don't have any of those.

Oh, weird. The Raiders and the 49ers are the trashiest football fans.

1. The ones who are only fans when their team is winning in the playoffs.

2. The guy who wears Dodgers and Yankees hats but wouldn’t know Dave Roberts or Aaron Boone if he was standing next to them.

Yankee fans are always at the top of any list of worst fans. Just like they were when they were Miami fans before becoming Alabama fans.

living in New Orleans, my father was a Cardinals fan. because the games were on the radio. I'm a Reds fan because late 70s/early 80s they were always on TV. Brother is a cubs fan, WGN mid 80s.

Springer isn’t a good player now? He’s 31 and will fill a need in the outfield for not a lot of money on a short term deal.

The Astros occupy far too much of your brain. It’s not healthy.
