Gave up MVP Mookie Betts because 27m was too much but thinks signing 31 year Springer for 20-25m is a good deal....

Yes I do. He’s an elite offensive player and he’s not answering the phone at 31 for anything less than 5 years 120-125 for the first few months.
If the market is bare he may make a concession. Jason fricking Heyward is making north of 20 mil per year. Granted Heyward was younger at the time of free agency he’s not as good a player as Springer

And the 27 mil was literally why they gave up on Betts. They were scared of the luxury tax so they shipped off their face of the franchise over a few million dollars for Alex Verdugo and Jeter Downs

Cubs fans are irritating, but Astros fans are the worst. A bunch of people who pump up Houston as anything more than a swampy shite hole of some new oil money and a ton of Mexicans. Good hospitals though, I’ll grant them that.
