This.. If you put up good numbers as a freshman or sophomore there is going to be a spot somewhere in a super conference for you.

Didn't Urlacher play at a small school? Prolly him, and also Ladainian Tomlinson as well

The portal has always been there. Back then, college players weren’t selfish pricks and were actually loyal to their teammates

Any of the 8, 4-star running backs USC had on the roster in the mid to late 2000s.

Guys like Willie Roaf, who lettered for four years at La Tech, might have gone to a larger school with NIL money out there.

Without NIL money being a factor, I doubt Roaf leaves Tech for a larger school. He donated his NFL HOF jacket and ring to Tech in 2020.

Perrilloux literally did transfer, though. It's also not really applicable because he was kicked off the team as the incoming starter. No, he wasn’t entering the portal as the starter on a defending national title winning team.

Honey Badger. Plenty of guys transferred out lately for the same reason he was kicked off the team.

Would he have straightened his life out? Great question….

He would have gone to another SEC team that didn't test for synthetic.
