This all started bc of sports. Gottlieb called out Maria Taylor for forgetting to have AD on all 3 all NBA teams. She 100% deserved to be criticized but her defense was Gottlieb was being sexist. Whitlock chimed in basically saying that Taylor was very talented but she obviously screwed up here and deserved criticism. Basically saying she needs to put on her big girl underwear and take the heat and move on. His article was basically making the point that Gottlieb wasn’t being sexist but being exactly the opposite and that Taylor and others defending her mistake were the ones actually being sexist bc they expected Taylor to be held to a different standard.
Whitlock also threw in how all of the woke reporters so quickly jumped to Taylor’s defense but saying if it would have been a male who made the same egregious mistake it would’ve been no big deal.
Obviously he has beef with Nolan so he baited the hook for her basically telling Taylor don’t be like Nolan bc you are actually talented.
It is obvious Whitlock’s real disdain is for white liberals bc he feels they are hypocrites and wolves in sheep’s clothing. He takes them down time and time again for essentially their soft racism of low expectations.

Whitlock mentioned that in his latest video. He didn’t mention King by name but said it was laughable that he was called racist and anti-black for criticism of a white person who he felt was getting special treatment bc of her “privilege”.

Let us be clear. Whitlock is not a conservative republican or whatever. He is clearly feed up with white liberals and their soft racism of low expectations and their hypocrisy of protecting their own interests but criticizing others for doing essentially the same things they do.
I think he has moved to where he is now 1) it is a good niche for him but 2) he probably relates to how Trump does business.
Trump can be an a-hole but Trump is an a-hole to everyone who doesn’t produce to whatever his standards are. That is IMO the definition of equality. I feel Whitlock shares the same sentiment. Whitlock doesn’t want the color of his skin to prevent him from getting work but he also doesn’t want the color of his skin to be the only reason he gets work. He feels white liberals “pity” minorities and hold them to low expectations bc deep down the white liberals actually believe the minorities are not as talented and need the help.

Take a look at the YouTube video he posted in the last couple of days on this topic.
Apparently, Nolan took multiple shots at Whitlock in the past. Whitlock claims that his bosses told him not to defend himself. Now that he is at Outkick, he doesn't have to answer to anyone, so he took a tiny shot.
Nolan gets all offended at one comment when she has (allegedly) made several comments about Whitlock over the years.
So Whitlock's position appears to be that she can dish it but she can't take it.

I totally agree he has beef with her and baited her into responding but it plays into his point about her “privilege” is reason she is allowed to get away with doing that w/o getting called out by her peers. His action was a nuke to Katie but it was also a nuke to Lebatard and Bomani Jones, etc who white night for Nolan but also claim “white privilege” is a huge problem in sports and media.
Whitlock is fed up with the hypocrisy of the whole woke movement.

I dont think it’s white privileged but specifically privilege of being 1) pretty and 2) woman. If Katie Nolan was an average looking white girl, she’s not where she is now.
Prior to this I didn’t know who Nolan was but I kept seeing her name on here so I googled her. She might of being pretty when She was younger but she looks like a nagging housewife now. And I YouTube a click of her and she’s doing a monologue about sports in her house. Seems like her role is “social influencer + sports”. It feels fake and she is unlikeable.

I just basically know who Nolan is but Whitlock basically describes her as the flirty bartender at a Sports Bar that attracts the young/middle age men to her bar with her combination of good looks, “guy humor”, and generally knowledge of sports. According to Whitlock, a high powered exec was one of those guys mentioned above and bingo media darling.
Honestly, Whitlock’s beef isn’t necessarily how she got where she got. I believe his beef is expecting to be above criticism by playing the victim card of being a woman even though it is clear in his mind that she only got the job bc of her physical appearance.

Whitlock’s stance parallels Trump’s supposedly huge surge in AA support. If those polls are true, a large # of AA agree with Whitlock is their disdain of the hypocrisy of the left.
