12 year career with only 5 starts. That's the life.

Henne and Flynn have the stink of not being good enough to be starters. Whitehurst struggled to stay in the league. But Chase just stayed right in the shadows and never exposed himself as bad.

I know Clipboard Jesus is the best nickname of them all, so I vote Charlie Whitehurst

Great answer. In the early-mid 70's the Dolphins had he and Earl Morrel backing up Griese. Griese goes down early in the '72 undefeated season and all Morrel does is go out and win the NFL MVP.

Imagine being someone's emergency replacement at your job, and despite the fact that everyone in your field knows you can't do the job even adequately, but they are required to have an emergency replacement, and you made 42 million for standing around.

Bobby Scott lol. Carried a clipboard for 10 years, except for one year when Archie got hurt. Seriously, I have to say Danny White. Took over for Staubach, and went to 3 straight NFC CG. Hostetler ranks up there. Got a ring, then parlayed that into a payday with the Raiders.

With a superbowl ring and all of his mental faculities from lack of being hit

He wins clearly
