Heat or Panthers? Both are 8 seeds, both will be in the finals.

Exciting times in Miami the next week or two.

Heat if they do, NHL playoffs are all basically a coin flip, seeding doesn’t matter much.

I completely disagree. The Panthers beat the best regular season NHL team of all time, and swept the conference finals. The Heat are in a weaker conference and it’s still impressive, but Panthers for sure.

Both the Miami Hurricanes (a football school) and FAU (a nobody school) making the Final Four is most impressive.

I am a fan of both teams. But the Panthers have been more impressive. The way they came back on Boston down 3 to 1. Hammered Carolina in the Conf finals.

Panthers had to have the most unbelievable final 10 games of the regular season just to have a seat in the playoffs. Heat are playing with the same cast that got them to the ECF and most of the guys in the bubble Finals. It was just a bad regular season.

While they've been impressive, the Heat have proven to be a great organization, despite their seed this season.

The Panthers were in an abyss as a franchise until the last few years. They are far more surprising to me.

They are on a historic run. They’re so gritty. Carolina played really well in that series and still got swept.

Means nothing.

In NHL, the 1 seeds wins 30% of Stanley cups

In the NBA, the 1 seed wins 51% of nba finals

The comeback against the Bruins was awesome.

While they got the sweep against Carolina, I wouldn't say they hammered them. Every game was a 1-goal game, 2 of them went to OT and the last one was 4.3 seconds from going to OT. All 4 games were extremely close, even statistically favored the Canes in terms of scoring opportunities. If only we could have got 7 of those games out of that series.

I'd say the Panthers playoff run is a little more surprising.

It’s great to see both there. They have both beaten very good teams to get there. And they will both be heavy underdogs in the finals.

4 to 0 is hammering in my opinion just because that was the result……….for me anyway. The games were very close. If you did not see any goals you would have thought Carolina was the better team based on possession and volume of shots on goal. I will give them that.

Is it really a surprise that the Heat made it this far with Spoe and Jimmy Butler?

The Heat were in the NBA finals three years ago.
