Dude randomly pops into Pels Talk every once in awhile to troll every thread with weird hate, and then pops out for awhile.

Extremely strange.

Sixers will be better next season for sure but Pelicans job is much better 3-5 years from now

Sixers because they are guaranteed to get into the playoffs in the East.

7 playoff locks in the west next year - Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, Rockets, Nuggets, Jazz, Warriors

8 Contenders for 1 playoff spot - Thunder, Blazers, Grizzlies, Suns, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Spurs, Kings

Even if you say the T-Wolves, Spurs, and Kings are not playoff contenders (spurs and kings were bubble teams), that's still 5 contenders for only one playoff berth available.

I'm coaching the Sixers.

Zion on load management for the rest of his career so that's going to make it tougher to coach the Pelicans.

Sixers.

It won’t be long before we see a coordinated media campaign to get Zion to LA or New York or Boston.

Just like they did with Baron
Just like they did with CP3
Just like they did with AD

The media consider Philly to be a destination city because it’s a huge East Coast market.

Pels. Sixers need to make a major roster move or two and the expectations are higher. Pels are still building.

Pelicans and it’s not even close.

Sixers are in cap hell with a roster that has no offensive or defensive identity.

Pelicans doesn’t have identity either but with the cap space this team can find the right pieces to help win

Sixers have too much money tied up in Horford and Harris

Sixers play in the East, but still can't get out of the 1st round. Have a more talented team, but has bad contract, I don't see much improvement from their current standing.

Pelicans play in the West, also had to deal with injuries like the 76ers, but couldn't reach .500 mark. Young core, with a lot of drafts picks, good cap situation.

If you trust Griffin the Pelicans job has the most upside.

I got a good feeling that Ty Lue is gonna get to pick the job he wants. he wants $$ and years. Gayle will pony up for that if David tells her that ty is his guy.

LA and Miami are the only "destination cities" for this generation of players.

Pelicans pretty easily imo. They have a pretty clean cap sheet, young Zion, plenty of assets going forward, and a solid GM in David Griffin. The only big drawback is they play in the west.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Ingram and Lonzo both coming up on getting paid though.

Philly on the other hand is in cap hell, has a really weird roster even though they have a ton of talent and two all stars. Elton Brand is likely either getting tired of demoted so there’s not much stability there. I think they will be by far the most interesting team to watch this offseason

It’s amazing how quick people forget that they lost to the champs on a buzzer beater in game 7. And their starting lineup had the best point differential in the league the year before that.

They don't have that team anymore though.

just reading an SI article

"Sixers have
-maybe league's worst contract with Harris and Al Horfords contract which makes them both untradeable
- no cap space
-no draft assets

Yea, the Sixers went through a decade of losing to almost make it out of the second round with a squad largely led in the playoffs by a player no longer there.

Why should I be excited about that if I'm the new coach?

CBSSports's opinion on job openings
quote:

The verdict
1 New Orleans
2 Brooklyn
3 Houston(if open)
4 Philadelphia

But when roster talent and money are relatively even, most coaches are going to make long-term decisions. That means factoring in a combination of expected job security and future flexibility. Even with the risks Zion poses, the Pelicans are so young and have so many assets to work with that the odds of them not reaching at least sustained competitiveness are extremely slim. Pair that with the upside and creative challenge of working with Zion, and New Orleans offers the best long-term package for the average coach.

Sixers and it’s not even close. Pels is one of the worst even if they had a star studded roster. Get your head out your arse.

Easy. The one in the Eastern Conference.

It's been the weaker conference for decades and that ain't changing anytime soon.

Are you serious? Embiid is 26 and Simmons is 24.
