Where should Giancarlo Stanton go?

Everyone knows we're not keeping him for much longer, and it's actually paining me to watch him in this lineup while knowing he deserves better. So, where do you think Stanton should be, whether best for him, or best for a specific team?

I want him in Colorado. Only for the HRs he would jack in Coors Field. In 25 plate appearances there he has 6 HRs, including a 494-footer.

He likely wouldn't be there, but he's got 93 HRs in his young career, and that number would skyrocket in Colorado.

Texas. Profar and a pitching prospect for Stanton. He could hit 800 HR in Arlington. Done and done.

Anaheim, they don't have enough sluggers yet.

But for reals, I'd have to change pants if the Cardinals got him.

The Cardinals already have a pretty good CF and the top CF prospect in baseball. I highly doubt they are big player for him.

Pretty sure Stanton is not a CF in the least bit

It should be Texas. They have a need for a power hitter. Profar is expendable with the Andrus extension. Throw in another Texas prospect and that is a good deal for both teams

is Moreland ever going to produce at a level that warrants trading Olt?

I doubt they are too. That's more me dreaming. I like Jon Jay, and I know Taveras is a stud.

Another fantasy (as in would never happen) type deal would be the Dodgers sending Puig to Miami and getting Stanton. Trade the Cuban to Miami, and bring the Angelino back home.

I agree, so who's the second prospect we could send? I know there's two or more very highly rated pitchers

Probably is going to take Profar, Olt and any pitching prospect not named Perez for Stanton.

It's going to take a lot.

I would hope Olt isn't part of a trade. Moreland is a low ceiling kind of guy

Well, right now he looks like last year was a fluke. He has sucked this year, but to be fair he isn't going to get anything to hit with Placido Polanco protecting him.

Mariners should offer the Upton package plus another prospect or two when the time comes. I know nobody besides Mariners fans want to see him hit in Safeco though. If he goes to a big market team I'd like to see him on the Cubs.
