2014 - Marcus Mariota (signed w/ Oregon, won w/ Oregon)
2015 - Derrick Henry (signed w/ Alabama, won w/ Alabama)
2016 - Lamar Jackson (signed w/ Louisville, won w/ Louisville)
2017 - Baker Mayfield (signed w/ Texas Tech, won w/ Oklahoma)
2018 - Kyler Murray (signed w/ Texas A&M, won w/ Oklahoma)
2019 - Joe Burrow (signed w/ Ohio State, won w/ LSU)
2020 - DeVonta Smith (signed w/ Alabama, won w/ Alabama)
2021 - Bryce Young (signed w/ Alabama, won w/ Alabama)
2022 - Caleb Williams (signed w/ Oklahoma, won w/ USC)
2023 - Jayden Daniels (signed w/ Arizona State, won w/ LSU)
2024 - Travis Hunter (signed w/ Jackson State, won w/ Colorado)
2025 - Fernando Mendoza (signed w/ California, won w/ Indiana)

Bold denotes player who won with the school he initially signed with.

In fact, going back to the earlier years of the 21st Century, all but one (Cam Newton) signed with the team they won the Heisman Trophy with. Just an interesting trend I happened to notice.

What's interesting is the dramatic uptick in Heisman winners going #1 overall the past decade. 6 in 9 years. 1987-2001 didn't see a single Heisman winner go #1; 2002-2016 saw only 4 in 14 years.

Why are you using future tense? The post-Saban era is already here, and it's seen Alabama make the playoffs, win a playoff game, slap LSU around twice, and beat multiple top ten teams.

Sorry LSU fans, but it turns out your new step-dad is abusive too.

LSUs post Saban era had lingering Saban impact. It’ll wear off.

This is true. Made a couple BCS bowls, won a national title, continued to slap Alabama around, etc

???

From the time Saban got to LSU in 2000 until 2008, Alabama beat LSU once. Saban left after the 2004 season, and LSU beat Alabama in 2005, 2006, 2007. So yes, LSU slapped Alabama around while Saban was there and continued to slap them around for 3 more years after he left. It actually took...Nick Saban, go figure, to reverse course.

Miles was a good coach. LSU had some really good teams from 2005 - 2007. They had elite talent, much of it homegrown too.

But you can see where that momentum wore off in '08 and '09, which, not so coincidentally, was the time Saban's momentum in Tuscaloosa took off.

It also didn’t hurt that Alabama was on major NCAA probation during that entire period.

Imagine downvoting this completely factual statement.

LSU definitely dominated that rivalry from 2000 to 2007. That was a long time ago though. Bama has dominated LSU since then in a manner LSU couldn't do, however.

Sort of coincides with it becoming almost exclusively an award for the best QB.

you effectively reiterated what the other guy said and I agree with. Your post was effectviely a restatement version of

and

LSU dominated the series during and for a few years after Saban. LSU had great success in those years. The Saban impact wore off, and Saban did Saban things at Alabama. We're all very aware of the history during and after the Saban years at LSU. But that was kind of his point. That Saban impact lingers but the shine wears off eventually. He's only been gone for 2 seasons. I don't think anyone would expect a cataclysmic decline in 2 seasons: See Larry Coker at Miami.

I know stupidity runs in the tigger faithful but, here are the facts:
Since 2000 Alabama leads 16-11, when Saban was here 12-5, last ten years 8-2, Here is also the funniest fact, Bama has beaten lsu more times in Baton Rouge than we have at our own place, LOL.
Now, there's the facts for you.
