This is where I am with him. Look at his stats against good teams and they're OK. Solid for 20 years ago but not great now.
27 TDs last year. 4 against 3-win San Jose. 3 against 2-in Sam Houston. 4 against 2-win Arkansas with an interim coach.
This year 37/56 for 396 1TD 2INT against OSU and Tennessee.
4 years in and I would expect a little more production.

Am I crazy or does Arch Manning look like a pretty good college QB, not good or really good and forget great. The fact that he is doing this with an elite supporting cast surrounding him and an offensive minded coach is damning. He’s way more JJ McCarthy than Joe Burrow.

Good question. I’ve wondered that but let’s see how the season plays out. We should have a better idea in a month or so.
If Texas has a decent backup we should see him get playing time sooner rather than later with their schedule.

I believe their backup is Raja Bell’s son who was a consensus 5* with unreal measurables. It would be interesting to see what happens.

You’re right. He sucks.
I just didn't agree with the assertion that he's "done very well with the expectations."
He's never won anything. His team is currently undefeated in spite of him. Texas missed the playoffs last year.

This. Money is NOT an issue for this kid. In fact I think he could use another year.
