I have an internet white whale I'm looking for. Guy I work with was arguing that Jason Kidd was a higher ranked recruit than Randy Livingston

I remember there use be a list and website that had all the rankings of players in the 90s. Similar to Tom Lemmings lists for football.

I remember Ronnie Henderson was in the teens also.

McDonald's All-American roster doesn't have a Randy Livingston.

I have absolutely no clue. Who are the longest running recruiting services?

Whoopsie Randy Livingston was class of 1993. Kidd was class of 1992.

If I remember correctly, Randy Livingston was Parade All-America co-POY with Jason Kidd in 1992 and again with Rasheed Wallace in 1993. I may be completely wrong though.

Kidd and Corliss Williamson were 1a and 1b. Corliss beat Kidd when they faced off in the King Cotton Classic. Kidd had a chance to win the game on the final possession and Corliss threw that shite into the stands.

You are thinking of Livingston being higher than Iverson

There used to be a site that went back to the early 90s and had recruiting rankings

I think it’s offline as all I can find are Parade and McDonalds lists.

I think Webber was first in the class of 1991. Jason Kidd and Othella Harrington were the top 2 in 1992, and Livingston and Rasheed Wallace were the top in 1993. Iverson came after.

They were similar, but Livingston had more awards. Both were the top player.

In 1993, Livingston was the Naismith and Gatorade player of the year and tied with Rasheed Wallace for Parade player of the year.

In 1992, Kidd was Naismith, Corliss Williamson was Gatorade. Kidd and Livingston (as a junior) tied for Parade POY.

RealGM

You can put any year in and it pulls up the players.

Kidd actually had more awards. He won Naismith, Parade, USA Today Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball USA. The only reason he didn't win Gatorade was because Gatorade takes gpa into account and Corliss was a better student than Jason was

Jason Kidd was the USA Today player of the year and the top recruit. I remember reading that article back when people actually read newspapers and USA Today actually had a good sports section. Alameda CA.

College basketball recruiting had become more popular that year because the Fab Five were a huge deal the year before and led Michigan to the Championship Final. Plus other recent star freshman - Penny Hardaway, Chris Jackson, Grant Hill, Shaq, etc.
