When did dancing in the endzone become acceptable in CFB?

It was one thing in 2019 when it was a two-second griddy, but it seems like every time Travis Hunter or any other player finds the endzone, they’re dancing like it’s pro ball. Nothing short of mimicking shooting another player gets an unsportsmanlike conduct called. Whatever happened to handing the ball to the ref and high fiving your teammates? Anyway, I’ll hang up and listen. Dear Facebook.

If all the players and coaches are of the same mindset, and don’t seem to care about the celebrations, why should fans care what the kids are doing?

Good. The way it should be. Having fun and celebrating should not be illegal

I'm willing to bet you start threads like this but are the first in line to call it the No Fun League when someone gets tagged for taunting in the NFL?

What does that have to do with celebrating?

Just because you've been somewhere before doesn't mean you can't continue to enjoy it and have fun.

I remember when UGA lost a game to LSU because of a celebration
Now they can do about anything besides the slicing the throat gesture

I’m old so I remember sportsmanship being taught to us players, but it seems to me it started with players spiking the ball and escalating from there.

I don’t care for it but it’s all the younger generation knows now and is no longer expected but expected.

Times change.

No this is a legit question tbh cause I wasn’t aware of a rule change recently and must have missed it. It doesn’t really bother me but I didn’t remember when this got changed

Did they get rid of the celebration/unsportsmanlike penalty or do they just not call it anymore?

I enjoy watching football, if someone hands the ball to the ref or dances for 30 seconds doesn’t take away from the game. I only “care” if they don’t acknowledge a teammate after the touchdown
