When you look at the breaks that went their way with injury and the BS suspension it really puts a damper on the 3-1 comeback when you look at the quality of GSW and who was actually playing and their physical health in those games. They didn’t beat the same team that had won 73 or whatever, that version of GSW was closer to a 50 win sqaud with green being out, bogut being out, and the declining health of Steph and iggy.

It is probably more a byproduct of the camera angle and slow motion shot, but I always found the grace and athleticism of this play iconic

I think the Hondo stealing the ball with Most calling it and the Bird lays it off to Johnson plays are iconic. To me there is no single iconic play as the plays needs to commentary to make it.

Also the moment makes the play as well. Morant's play will be considered more iconic because it was a regular season dunk or is the Vince Carter It's Over moment more iconic?

It happened <2 minutes to play in Game 7 of the finals and was instrumental to the Cavs’ upset, comeback win vs. 73-win GS. I don’t care how much you hate LeBron, but that moment was and will be iconic.

Is it THE most iconic play ever? Absolutely not...

But if you are asking me, as a Mavs fan, it's 100% the Dirk back down and spin move on Bosh and the lefty finish at the rim to complete the comeback and tie up the series, and captured the momentum to eventually go on and win it.

Dirk the GOAT

I really just love how an old man uses a simple old man move to win a playoff game and playoff series over the Not 1, Not 2, Not 3, Not 4, Not 5, but 6 time NBA finals loser.
