That play saved LeBron's legacy. I mean at that point he had the 2010 and 2011 fiascos and his great 2013 team when they were big-time favorites to repeat almost lost 4-2 in the Finals if Allen doesn't hit that shot and Pop doesn't sit Duncan around that stretch. Without that, he's 3-7 in Finals competition coming out of a weak Eastern Conference mostly.

No Ray Allen’s shot in game 6 of 2013 saved his legacy. But the way he destroyed the Cavs and currently destroying the Lakers is hurting his legacy. But as a Pelicans fan, I’m completely fine with him destroying the Lakers future.

That play cemented him as a legend in Cleveland.

A few years back, espn did a huge bracket/fan vote for greatest dunk (in game) of all time. This was the winner.

Ran across this, not sure if it's my favorite and not really iconic but I could not stop laughing.

How about any of the Robert Horry game winners?

Kawai buzzer beater in game 7 vs Philly was special too.

The Doctor's dunk is the most iconic!

The NBA was great LONG before Lebron and his gang of crybabies!

It is probably more a byproduct of the camera angle and slow motion shot, but I always found the grace and athleticism of this play iconic

I'm not gonna say this is THE most iconic play. But a recent play that I think will go down is the history books is Giannis dunk in the NBA finals.

Nice play, but disqualified because Iggy Back injury made him unable to run or leave the floor for rebound in that game.

quote:

“Just couldn't take off as well as you would like, as far as sprinting up the floor,” Iguodala explained. “And then going up for rebounds was really tough. I had a position to get a few, but had to wait until it came to you, so … you do other things to combat that. Boxing out, getting good ball position so you don't have to put yourself in a vulnerable situation.”

Not sure what's my #1 but Derek Fisher 0.4 shot is way up there.
