Contract year, has a 1st year HC. High passing yards number, high INT number, low compl. %, team isn't necessarily winning much. Is he worth premier QB money moving forward? Answer may be simple but what is tampa's better alternative as well?

Bounce around teams for a few seasons. Get lower and lower on the depth chart. At some point, he will have one last gasp in a camp before finally washing out of the league.

He's clearly never going to be a top notch NFL QB. The free market will show that.

He is still better than a lot of guys out there though. Not sure what the Bucs should do. My guess is they will low-ball him and he'll get mad and go somewhere else, but still not get franchise QB money.

I believe he moves on. Some team gives him a one year bridge or prove it deal. He got paid pretty good this year, so he should be set for life. I think he'll get 10M+ next year. Some one will roll the dice. He has shown flashes, just not a leader and shouldn't be asked to be. Needs a strong HC and a strict regime/system. He'd be interesting in Pittsburgh..

That would actually be really interesting. I could see him succeeding there.

He's better than a half dozen starters in this league.

Chicago
LA Chargers
Miami
Pittsburgh (Rudolph)
Cincinnati
Denver

Eli mainly shone when paired with a great defense.

Not that the Bucs are good but I wouldn’t trust Crab Legs to keep from fricking up and turning over the ball.

Of those teams, several have basically given up on their starter or are on an injury replacement.

The only one of those six I currently see returning as a starter next year is Trubinsky and that is only because the Bears blew so much on him over Watson and Mahomes.

When he’s on and feeling it he looks fantastic. There is talent there but the lows are SO low. He’s also still pretty young. Pittsburg is actually interesting.

If your team needed a QB for next season how would you rank these fours options?

Cam Newton
Andy Dalton
Jameis Winston
Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy

Jameis and Cam

Dalton

Cam could raise himself considerably if his foot and shoulder miraculously heal. Jameis would get the nod over him due to perceived health rather than potential.

I'd give him like 12 million a year for 3 years & try to draft build on the oline and defense. He's already got several good receiving options. If he can just settle down a bit and mature he can still be good.

I have no idea what's going to happen to him. I feel confident saying he'd have Chicago better than 5-6 FWIW
