If anything, it's the #1 seed that apparently doesn't belong.
The #1 seed has not won a title yet, and has an overall record of 2-4.

that happened I think Independents will say screw this and we will be back to lawsuits that UGA and OU filed in 80’s

UGA and OU filed lawsuits against the NCAA and the CFB playoffs have nothing to do with the NCAA (thank God)

The CFB playoffs are worth $600 million+ to participating schools and unless some other organization is going to offer more TV money there's absolutely no need to change the format to include shite G5 teams with horrible 1st round games that nobody is going to watch.

Penn State should have been in over Ohio State in 2016 but they've been money besides that

Who told you that?

You think the best team wins every game

You watch the NCAA or SEC MBB or BAB tournament? Do you watch the NFL Playoffs? Because people watch those games. Nice try but people will watch.

Not really...I might watch a final 4 or final.Opening round games are usually a joke... comparing a 64 team
playoff in CFB to a 16 CFB playoff with G5 teams is idiotic and no way in hell ESPN would cough up the money for your scenerio.Much rather watch a mid tier bowl with 2 P5's than any type of G5 playoff scenerio.

CFB and CBB are 2 completely different games and no way
in hell a Bama vs Toledo game (whatever) would draw any type of audience.

Now you’re lying because if Bama went to Toledo it was oils be a sell out. If Bama has a playoff game vs Toledo it would be a sellout in Tuscaloosa

Apparently you think opening 8 games would be bowl games, they wouldn’t.

So what?Do you not realize that TV revenue/ratings fuel
CFB playoffs and the money that ESPN shells out?Do have any type of clue on how this works?WGAS if Bama sells out vs Toledo...it's all about
eyeballs watching on TV

Your scenerio is a pipe dream that shouldn't and will never take place. Most G5 schools wouldn't exist w/out P5 paydays and they honestly shouldn't get a cut of ESPN CFB payoff...nothing more than welfare.

You don’t think people will watch on television you are dumb. Advertisers will jump all over these games. Especially when they can put them on multiple channels and streams. These games will be sold as packages and PPV. People will pay for them. I’m sorry you aren’t understanding new revenue opportunities and stuck in a stupid elitist mindset that will end up extinct.

Without the Group of 5 the P5 wouldn’t be able to make the money they do, I swear you guys don’t understand economics of sports.

These games will NEVER happen and the CURRENT $600 million contract calls for these games to be broadcasts
on ESPN...pretty simple. If and when the CFB playoff contract expires then perhaps streming will be the future but NOBODY is gonna pay the same amount for G5 teams compared to big market P5's...pretty simple.

A four team beauty pageant didn't show us anything.

When the playoff was announced, the first take I had was "great, now the media can force one or two more teams in annually that don't deserve it."

That is exactly what is happening and will continue to happen as long as Darling Teams don't earn it in the regular season. Bama winning it again last year after finishing third in the SEC again isn't going to make this competition/playoff better at all.

Yep, but it sure is fun watching the Gumps fall on their faces trying to explain how the "best" team in the country finished 3rd out of 14 teams.

Wrong. A healthy AU was better than Bama. Why not put them in and allow AU to heal for 4 weeks?

Was OSU better than Virginia Tech in 2014?

You don't need to answer

You put six in then you have to argue over who gets the bye week.
