The U, Reggie Miller, and the Two Escobars are up there for me. OJ one was also good. I still need to see the one about Marcus Dupree and Once Brothers. Some others, too, but those are the two that interest me the most.

Two Escobars is probably my favorite also.
Mine by far. It explained an entire country and the excesses that occured to have dominance in a sport. The pressure those players were under during the 1994 World Cup will never be equaled.

The Best that Never Was might be the best documentary of any kind that Ive seen. It's the best 30 for 30.

I really enjoyed "Winning Time" about the Knicks/Pacers rivalry.

It's definitely up there as one of the best made documentaries I've ever seen and damn near made me cry at the end.
Pony Excess is just fun to watch and because of the whole Auburn scandal it gives you an idea what a program will do to win.
The OJ documentary is interesting because it's filmed in a completely different way from any of the other 30/30 docs. It's crazy to think all of those historic sporting events were happening on that day.

Pony Excess, I was amazed by SMU's utter stupidity at the time.

I can't believe how much love The U doc is getting, as I thought it was one of the worst ones, and contrary to the whole concept of 30 for 30. It's a friggin' fan video that simply glosses over or explains away everything that isn't 100% positive about the Canes. I mean, it never even touches on Miami's struggles away from the state of Florida, the big knock on the program in the 80s. Or the Maryland comeback. It's all just "look what rebels we were!" with no sense of cotnext.
It wasn't as egregious as the Raiders or the Yankees docs, and it at least was made well. But I don't see why people drool over what is the college football equivalent of one of those NFL Films team docs that could spin anything as a positive. And when Michael Irvin comes off as the most grounded in reality of any former player, you know you got problems.
My favorites:
The Two Escobars
The Best That Never Was
The Iverson doc (can't remember the name)
The Band That Wouldn't Die
Into the Wind

I agree. It's extremely overrated. Knocking Butch Davis at the end showed how stupid the doc was. Lamar Thomas comes off as a jackass. That strip against Alabama couldn't have happened to a bigger douchebag.
