My question is why would the committee bend over backwards to put Bama in and screw over big time programs in Texas and Florida St who have more objective arguments to be in the playoffs?
Florida State an undefeated power conference champion with a competitive OOC schedule.
Texas a one-loss power conference champion with an OOC road win over another power conference champion.

Not sure SEC is best this year. Our signature win was against that Louisville team in a rivalry game right before their championship. That team that could not beat the 3rd string QB of FSU that had trouble passing down field.
Only conference with a real signature wins were Big 12 and ACC with wins over Alabama and LSU . SEC is out this year.
