It was Parkview and Redemptorist until Parkview started beating them so badly they closed the school.

Two part question:

Was Bastrop good back in the day?

Were they ever rivals with WM/Neville?

No and no

Outside of the Katrina years with Mackey and after with Reuben Randle, Bastrop has never been good.

Wouldn't that require HC to win once in a while?

My second concussion was from blindsiding that dude... such a good high school football player.

He even played high school ball as an eighth grader

West St. John vs St. James.

For two small school there is good talent and most of the players are related to other players on the opposing team

Also Destrehan/Hahnville and St. James/Lutcher

Wasn't EA/St. Amant a big deal?

Holy Cross and us would be a great rivalry if we could ever beat them...

That one is my favorite at the moment cause both bands are blasting and both teams are really good. Best day of the year to be at Behrman...35 and Easton don't mess around either.

Other notables:

St. James/Lutcher (a shame Lowell tore his ACL this yr)

Destrehan/Hahnville (maybe the best recent rivalry but Wildcats have dominated lately)

Jesuit/HC is old school but not the same anymore...River Parishes interest with the above two dwarfs it lately

Riverside becoming new villain for Newman, Country Day, not just St. Charles anymore

Looking back, I always enjoyed the fights at the Holy Cross/Chalmette game...glad they're playing each other again
