LSU/AU somewhere around 06 or 07. At JH. AU won, but LSU broke Cox and cost us a title run.

Wasn’t the Appalachian St LSU game the broiler of a game? For some reason I remember not being able to stop sweating

Nebraska vs. Missouri when on the final play the guy kicked the ball into the air and it was caught for a TD and sent the game to OT... Nebraska ended up winning 45-38 and went on to win the national championship.

Best game I ever saw - Division II National Championship

1984
Auburn 42 FSU 41
'#16 Auburn beats #9 Florida State in Tallahassee in arguably the greatest game in Auburn history. The Tigers were a sizable underdog. Brent Fullwood scored the winning touchdown with seconds to go for the win after massive officiating malpractice.

A&M - OU 2000 was an all-time great and I say that as an A&M fan. Wish we could have pulled it off but that game had me on my toes the entire way.

Arkansas 50 - LSU 48 in 3OT

I couldn't care less who won or lost the game, but it was entertaining AF from start to finish. You never really saw too many SEC games end like that in those days. Plus you had McFadden going for the Heisman and LSU being ranked #1 in the final regular season game.
It was just an intense slugfest the whole game, even with the scored only at 7-6 going into halftime. I think the weather was pretty shitty either right before or at the beginning of the game, but I may be wrong on that part.

It only solidified my love of college football over the NFL once that game was over.

The 2012 Bama vs LSU games was the best atmosphere I have ever experienced

I’ve never seen something that felt like that. Or heard anything that was as sustained as that. … Everything that was part of the experience, I was told it was going to be awesome. It was better than I was told it was. … There is nothing I would put ahead of that that I’ve EVER seen in any sport.

You’re one for nostalgia, painting Notre Dmae USC 2005 as the most pinnacle game ever and college football will never return to that. I’d bet you’re older than 40 and just enjoyed your life more then than now, like an old man saying everything was better back in his days. 2011 LSU Bama was a more complete rostered game than that game by far. Hell, 2019 LSU Bama looks to have better rosters than that game. That was the end of USC and Notre Dame was gone by that point.
