His whole strategy was "I'm coach Prime." He is starting to realize recruiting kids who have no other options but HBCU is a hell of a lot easier than recruiting kids who have a lot of quality options.

The media all over his nuts was such an embarrassment.

I don't think Deion has really been forced to learn how to compete on the recruiting trail. He's always been the prettiest girl in the room and never had to compete with anyone else and it turns out recruits aren't nearly as keen on Colorado as Deion believed. They'll still go with Saban and Bama over Deion and Colorado. Deion has no track record. Why risk your football career for some social media hype? Play the long game and go with the sure bet (Bama, Georgia, etc.)

Parents cant look at him and think he has their kid's best interests in mind.

He clearly cares a lot about his kids. But he doesnt give two shits about players who arent stars.

This as well. Unless you're "Louis", Deion doesn't give a shite about you. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't even know half of his player's names.

This is true. I remember early on when he took the Colorado job he was having brief meetings with various position groups of players. Not sure which group it was (maybe running backs?) and one player asked if he would make time to speak to him one on one.

Deion's response was a straight up "No". He told the player he has to talk to his position coach and not to bother Prime. He said something like "I paid alot of money for these coaches so you go through them for everything. You don't need to talk to me."

Unreal a head coach would say that to one of his own players. Explains alot though.

He had no idea what his center's name was during an interview.

I am enjoying this dumpster fire. He is not a real coach and he will always have to rely on his coordinators. The way he coaches, he needs to be at a smaller school. If you have to rely on Hollywood and all of that, that does not lead to wins.

I went up to Pullman to watch Washington State vs Colorado (good friend of mine is band director at WSU) and SubPrime looked disorganized and out of it the entire time, especially when they were losing 56-14.

Deion isn’t willing to put the work in on the trail. “I Ain’t Hard 2 Find” isn’t a viable recruiting strategy. Pounding the pavement, building relationships with coaches and going into a kids home seems to be beneath him. It’s not too good for Saban, Kirby or other successful coaches and that’s why they win and he won’t: Deion doesn’t want to put the work in

it was:
no white guys allowed, come play with your fellow racists and help my kids make the most from the draft

now its:
no white guys allowed, come play with your fellow racists and prime will get fired or just quit mid year

he is a fraud and does not know what he is doing

Not the mention we’ll see what kind of staff he can hold onto. Sean Lewis getting demoted mid season was ridiculous.

Happy he got out of there and got a HC job. Can’t wait for Prime to include him in his coaching tree. lol

Can't wait until Deion is gone so the Colorado threads will die on here

Sorry Deion. Being “Coach Prime” may be enough to fool the idiots in the media, but these kids aren’t going to stake their futures to the sinking ship that is your stint at the University of Colorado.

The transfer portal might have helped Deion get some average guys, but NIL will prevent him from getting the top guys. Obviously it used to be that players had to wait on NFL money. Now they can get it in college at the top programs.

A blue chip player today would be an idiot to go somewhere like Colorado or anywhere that isn’t at least a Top 20 program. Their talent is too delicate and fleeting to risk. An everyday job vs. generational wealth potentially hangs in the balance with these decisions.

If I’m Johnny Fivestar I’m going somewhere with money, supporting talent (especially if a QB), and an established HC who has put a lot of players in the NFL. And I would not go anywhere to play for a first year HC.
