Yet they are worth 1.

The defense can contest dunks, though.

I've bitched about this rule. I think it's one of the worst in sports. Worse than the tuck rule.

It's certainly a ridiculous rule.

Just allowing a team to advance the ball to halfcourt just because they called a timeout makes no sense. Sure, it's set up some entertaining finishes, but if the rule is only there to keep games close, then it's a shitty rule.

I've been increasingly frustrated with basketball rules too . Fouls just seem so arbitrary most if the time.

The worst rule in all of sports in the fumble out of bounds in the opposing end zone gives the ball to the other team. Completely ridiculous. Fumble out of bounds anywhere else on the field and you keep the ball, but do well enough to almost score a touchdown and fumble out of bounds and the other team gets the ball.

i think nfl should have the overtime rule like ncaa does, if they did alot of teams wouldnt had won on bullshite first score in overtime all those years its just rules, everyone plays by the same.. whoever wins, wins! bottom line..this thread was made because lebron made the final shot after a timeout

They should also change the rule that let's Lebron do anything else that's to his advantage. It's just not fair.

I know you were kidding but I think both teams should alternate possesions starting at the 50.

I like the college rule I just think they start to close to the endzone

i like the college rule also.. but the way the nfl was for years it was a coin toss basically.. did i like it? no... did i bitch and cry when my team lost BECAUSE they went to overtime? no.. i understand the rules, and thats part of the game. it wasnt "bs" because any team won in overtime in nfl because they got the ball first, just like it wasnt bs the heat won last night after a timeout. its the rules and been the rules for years. The other should have played better defense

So I don't get it...

Do you people not like seeing awesome finishes and buzzer beaters that actually have a chance instead of 80 foot prayers that miss by 10 feet?

I wish the NCAA would adopt it.
