How much does Purdy make in endorsements? In other words, what are his NIL deals worth? How do you know Arch Manning makes $3.2 million at Texas? Do you have any tangible evidence to prove anyone knows how much his NIL deal is worth?

Arch makes $0 in salary. Purdy makes $870k. You think Arch makes $3.2 million in endorsement deals (NIL) and have no idea how much Purdy makes. Purdy does have endorsement deals with Toyota, Alaskan Airlines, Adidas, and Gatorade, among likely others. I bet they're paying him more than nothing.

Purdy will also get a massive payday very soon. He's getting paid what he is by the 49ers because that's how contracts work.

You're doing it wrong, but either way, it's entirely irrelevant.

I love watching rich guys throw their money around in a dick measuring contest. # 1 JUCO transfer shows up to Ole Miss in a Lambo today to sign with them. Give it 4-5yrs it 4-5yrs and this will blow up in enough teams faces that the money will start to slow down. Look at the aggies what have they spent on coaches and NIL in the last 3 years and its got them no where.

You are cherry-picking data. The third string QB for the 49ers nearly makes 50% more than Brock Purdy, too. Starting quarterbacks on non-rookie contracts currently make an average of $38.06 million per year. Purdy has J. Russell to thank for this.

Maybe it shows how shitty the bottom of the payscale is in the NFL. Especially for the most important position.

No one is getting hurt. Nothing illegal is going on. It’s not costing any of you money to subsidize these players that you don’t think should get paid the amounts they get from NIL collectives.

Well. No one is hurt other than the fact that it’s helped turn CFB into a schizophrenic mess recently.

Well Purdy is paying an agent that's supposed to be doing this shite for him. So that's not Arch's fault.

Bryce Young is making less than Jamarcus because of Jamarcus.
Purdy was a 7th round pick, 7th round picks never made much, most of them from even his draft a year ago have probably been cut or at best are in taxi squad

Prior to the Russell debacle, rookies could renegotiate after their first year, which Purdy obviously would have done. The current CBA doesn't allow for that. A rookie contract can't be renegotiated, and players on those deals can't be extended until after their third season. So, yes, Purdy most definitely has Russell to thank for his situation, which is much worse in year two than Young’s.

Not really. NIL is closer to a free market than the NFL is.

In fact, part of the reason NIL was so necessary is because of how NFL monopolizes pro football and was using CFB as a free minor league.

I have no issue with NIL. It just puts the money out in the open. The real issue is the transfer portal. Also, I feel if you surpass tuition and fees at a university with NIL, you are no longer on scholarship. Pay your way, like a professional since you being paid like one.

If you can't regulate greed the system won't work long-term. NIL has created all the dynamics we see even with conference realignment. Watching a QB in Georgia demand 4 million dollars, or he's turning pro, is getting so common we have already become desensitized to it. The Pac-12 suddenly blew up because they believed they couldn't compete without top TV money to play this new world game.

NIL isn't free agency, it's a petulant food fight.

NIL is closer to LIV and the Saudi takeover of golf than anything else. A few extremely rich individuals paying well over market value for social and personal goals, not economic return.
