I think I read it was a half percent tax on the parish the from the last 25 years. I could be wrong but I thought I saw that

I have no clue to be honest but it has to be taxpayers and their booster club. I left West Monroe 21 years ago and they had the largest one in America. Thing is will all this fancy stuff bring in out of area talent like Shows used to bring in. Ruston is now doing that obviously over the last 5 years.

Must be the new trend, Acadiana just finished one, it looks to be smaller.

Can't be jealous. I remember all the days it rained and we had to practice in the basketball gym. Weight room smaller then my living room. And forget frequent water breaks during two a days in fricking Louisiana heat. Till this day I can't believe nobody got heat stroke.

When I was in middle school, our classes were in the old high school building. The "weight room" was still out back behind the gym. Iron bars with concrete blocks on the end. It was probably cutting edge in the thirties and forties.

Our locker room and weight room were under the bleachers of the stadium as well as the coach's office and training room. We called it the dungeon.

Penny tax for the parish. Everyone is getting brand new everything. Sterlington new fieldhouse, West Ouachita new track/soccer fieldhouse as well as new stadium and just got new turf for softball and baseball fields, WM got the sports medicine and covered practice field, and Ouachita got a new fieldhouse with new turf for football, baseball, and softball fields. Not sure what Richwood is getting.

The last 3 years we've been severely hampered by the wet bulb. Literally have to practice at 5am or not at all, while watching other schools in the area magically be able to continue on with afternoon practices like nothing ever changed. This will allow us to be able to practice no matter the weather.

The UAB Legacy Pavilion is designed for training during inclement weather but is an open-air, covered structure, not an enclosed building. While it provides cover from rain and direct sun, it is generally not considered safe during lightning due to its open-sided design, requiring teams to follow standard lightning safety protocols and vacate the structure
- Google AI.

What's the point of having a covered practice facility if it is not climate controlled and completely enclosed? I would imagine that WMHS has to follow similar safety protocols that UAB does and they can't use their practice facility if lightning is in the area.
