what exactly is wrong with it? The ball goes through the end zone, there isn't a yard marker to mark it at and its the most crucial point for someone to fumble the ball. Makes complete sense

you can not fumble the ball forward out of bounds. literally at every other point of the field, it gets reverted to the spot of the fumble.....until the endzone. where we dont only give the defense possession for a ball that they never recovered, but we also give them 20 yards of field position

If anything it should be defense’s ball at the spot of the fumble.

Any other spot on the field you don't get 6 points if the offense recovers the fumble.
