It's not like the course is long. Nor are we going to be playing it down...

Easier to clean your clubs between shots when you go dew sweeping.

Might be time to send a search party for the TPC crew, couldn't be a 6 hour round.

Never forget the first time the wife went out by herself to play for the first time with two friends ...
Took them 7 1/2 hours to finish .. I was like what the hell took so long ??? Her answer was, "what do you mean, it takes you like 6 hours to play a round of golf. And you're good"
It was then that I had to let her in on the secret that 2 of those hours I was sitting around drinking with my buddies after the round.

Ours yesterday was almost 6 hours. The girl took 4 practice swings every time. Same result every time. 100 yards down the fairway. I cringed when she went in bunkers.
She was good enough to where she wanted to keep score but bad enough to where she took forever.
We finally had to hustle her along to make sure we got in before dark. But she got us on Waverly for free so she was allowed to make our round long.

I'm guilty of taking some practice swings. But I get to my ball and practice swing or two while someone else hits then step up and hit when it's my turn.

My favorite is when they call and you're on 17 and you say, "just made the turn, so we're about halfway done"

So we had a good time, me, my buddy the Lakewood Marshall, and net.
First, turns out me and net used to hang out pretty regular 15 years or so ago, so that was cool.
Putted for birdie on one, while net had to hit a left handed reverse punch shot to get out of trouble. Putted for eagle on the temp green on two, but three putted for par and then it got bad.
Finished at 92, think net was at 95, from the tournament tees. Third nine I shot 48 and net 50, but we were six beers in by then.
Al in all real fun round, ready to play with net anytime
