I know I haven't.

Even with a good drive, that's a tough green to stick.

Yeah. A slight miss sends it flying.

I just hope for the up and down, or a bogey.

And if you're a tad right, you don't have a line at the green with those limbs. It's really a brutal hole, at the end of a round.

18 isn't as big of a deal.

I've got the Lake Bruin 4-ball this weekend. Probably my favorite tourney of the year. I hit it like a big fat bitch for the most part this weekend. Hopefully that will not carry over.

Good luck up there.

Hopefully all the bad shots are out of your system.

Anybody wanna take a stab at what marriage does to Beaver's handicap?

My Dad's actually dropped after he got married to a +1...

But it rose to a 3 or 4 after I was born...and now he's around a 6 or 7.

The Open was awesome except my GF decided I needed to help clean the apartment before the LSU game so I only caught glimpses of the finish.

Scored 93, my best score at the tough River Ridge in Sealy, Tx. Played River 9 and Ridge 9 (6351 yard Par 71). My previous best was 101. I was striking really good on the front 8, then tripled the 9th with my first 3-putt of the day for a 46. Started off the back 9 with a double, bogey, triple (fricking 3 strokes to get out of a fairway bunker), but then settled down to finish 47 (par 35) on the back 9.

My tee shots were awesome on the front and then I sprayed it all over on the back 9. And I think that might have had something to do with the beeeerrs and smoke... Had a great time with my buddy who got to get out for father's day for his first round in 3 months, so it was worth playing shitty on the back 9.

What does the Golf Thread suggest for courses in Lake Charles? Probably gonna meet my BR buddies in between Houston and BR and play a couple rounds. What ya'll got? Thanks.

ETA: my buddy was mentioning Gray Plantation and The National Golf Club

I have a tee time at 12:42 today. Doubt it will get here before then, but one can hope. It's raining here anyways.

GP is great. The National was good too but had just punched the greens the only time I played it. I need to get back out there.

Just in case anyone missed my post in last week's thread, stay away from the Farm in Lafayette. Every single green looks like this but much worse and spread out even more:

It was like putting on a Plinko board. fricking terrible.

You sure you didn't post a pic of the range after your practice session? Good lord.

Just ordered the tip and an x-100 steel shaft for my driver, even though I won't be able to hit it for a while.

Might have to get you to try it out for me when you get your R11 back.
