37 on the back at Santa Maria. Best I've played out there in a long time.

Lexi Thompson says she doesn't use a line on her ball o putt because it never looks right. I go back and forth, sometimes in the same round. I think I use it more in shorter straighter putts than anything else

I never use the line either. Partly because, I can't really read greens that well and don't want to line the ball up to a spot that is not correct ..
I play titleist pro Vs and you can actually pace te ball in a way that you see no writing at all. It's totally white. I kind of like that.

I use the line on almost all putts. One less thing to worry about. And since going to the belly, it helps me on sliders, because I used to have to feel way open on sliders

Weird. I use the line religiously.
Putting is the best part of my game too.

What do you guys do with the line? I never really studied this before. Do y'all pick a spot in your intended line and aim the line on the ball to said spot?

I use the line as well, though its not part of my swing thought - it probably should be though.

You pick the line you want your ball to travel on and then bring your putter through that line.

My thought is to basically aim it at the apex. Helps with visualizing the ball traveling when I'm behind it as well. I'm not a big believer in practice strokes

Man, that just sounds like something else for me to frick up
Of course probably about 20% or 25% of the time, I totally miss what direction the putt breaks so I'm not sure this will help me.

I aim the line at the point I want my ball to start.
I think.
I'm drunk right now. I could care less where the line points.

Pretty much what I try to do but I don't pick a particular spot, I just want to feel that I am aiming the putter in that general area.

I've always been a good green reader, I just have always fought hitting it with my right hand, even when I've been playing my best.
Same with me. It just helps me with my lines more than anything. Prevents me from setting up closed on hooks, and way open on sliders

I'm surprised a player of your caliber would have that problem.

As it is mine, but I don't like to use the line on long putts or breakers. I can't really figure out why, but I think it has to do with my ability to read greens and sometimes when standing over a breaker looking at that line makes me second guess myself

Dude, I can't putt a lick. I am about a 20 handicap on the greens.
I am not lying, I usually have about 5 or 6 putts a round that I totally misread (i.e. think it breaks a cup left and it actually breaks a cup right). I am clueless on the greens for the most part. I'm surprised that I even make the putts that i do make

Just finished a nice 25 holes of golf. Went off on the back and jumped on with the asst. pro on the front. I was leading him after 2 holes and tied after 3. At hole 5, we picked up two other guys he knew. Shot 45-45. And then probably about +6 on the last 7 holes we played.
New putter was nice. It rolls so much smoother than my old one. Has a lot more pop than my old one so I had trouble adjusting early on, but I settled in and had some nice lag putts and left about 3 or 4 long putts on the front edge.
As for the line, I use it. I am with weave, I point it on the line I want it to start on. Though a lot of times, I read my putts better when Im standing over the ball so I'll adjust and hit just inside the line or just outside the line.
