Anyone here playing in the state mid-am?
Planning on attempting to qualify for the first time this year.
For those of you who've played before, is it walking only or do they allow carts? And can you have a caddie in qualifying or the main tournament? I have a friend who would probably want to do that just for fun. Also, do they allow laser rangefinders or gps devices?

I've lived here for 3 years now going to school and I should know enough to make my own decision but I want some advice. I started playing a lot more when I got out of high school and wasn't so busy with football and baseball and I'm down to a 9 handicap. I enjoy laid back rounds with my fraternity brothers and whatnot but not playing semi-competitively like I can at home with my dad and friends is starting to wear on me. Anyways point being what courses would y'all recommend for playing alone or pairing up with someone on Sundays that won't take 6 hours to play. (I work monday-saturday). Cost isn't really an issue

The Bluffs and The Island hardly ever seem busy. Why don't you pair up with a fellow Golf Board'r?

never had an invite
half the problem is I only got to play 3 or 4 full rounds this entire semester. I used to be able to play like once a week at the very least

I have twirled it down a fairway or two. It requires a second backswing though

I'll keep you in mind next time, pal.

Once I get the twirl down, I'm gonna work on the twirl then walk down.

I got the walking a putt in down. FIL cracks up when I do it but it's not even something I think about. If the putt is a few feet away and I am pretty sure it's going in I just start chasing it.

I turned a pull into a slice in the course of 2 rounds. I prefer the pull...
