Noob to golf here, got a question. It seems there's a PGA event nearly every weekend for a good chunk of the year. How many events do the top golfers actually attend? And is it a balancing act between playing at a ton of events and having a normal life where you don't travel every single weekend? Seems like a tough schedule if a golfer were to go to as many events as possible.

the top 20 in the WGR will play probably a total of 25 events each a year.

And he probably picks the more prestigious ones, right?

Do the big names get a bonus to show up at the smaller events?

You play where you need to. Top 50 players in the world will play 20-25 events. Guys that need to secure cards will play as many as needed.

It's not about a normal life. It's about securing a job, and staying mentally and physically fresh so you can perform at your best at all times. Playing 35 events a year is not conducive to that
