I wonder how a modern QB would do thrown into a 90s football game. It might as well be a different sport.

Obviously. He dominated now because he is a great player with the greatest passing offense of all time

Likewise that Husker rushing attack would dominate now. Great players are great.

Debatable. They put their name in the hat with a select few others

It helps that LSU played 3 more games.

Can’t compare ranked wins as there wasn’t a playoff, regular season was 11 games and no conference title gam
Wait

Wait wait wait

So lsu having to play THREE EXTRA GAMES AGAINST TOP OPPONENTS shouldn’t be used as a reason for they they are more impressive?

We would love to only need to win 12 games and play FOUR LESS RANKED TEAMS like Nebraska did

Greatest season? Yes. Greatest team of all time? I'll say no.

So the factual inarguable part like actual on field resume it’s obvious LSU is the best of all time

The eye test that has us taking pretend time machines through multiple generations may have other teams.

I’ll take it

exactly... i don't think he realizes his comment actually helps LSU's case, not hurts it...

'95 Nebraska was a beast, but to deny how absolutely, undeniably GREAT this season was is ludicrous....

Different era so no you can’t. Huskers can’t be penalized because the rules changed.

That’s like saying the 72 Dolphins should be punished for only going 14-0 (17-0 after the playoffs)

Sounds like a knock against Nebraska if we're being honest.

no one is saying they should be penalized for not playing those games.... however, LSU should be praised for HAVING to... 4 more quality opponents, in succession, after navigating what is the toughest conference in the sport...

It’s not. No one would have come close to Nebraska that year.

Again to say it’s a knock is to say the 72 Dolphins weren’t impressive because they only had a 14 game season or the great MLB teams get knocked because there wasn’t multiple playoff rounds.

Nebraska doesn’t even know what an RPO is. LSU would light them up.

They are getting credit. That’s why we are giving them credit as one of the greatest. They just aren’t THE greatest.

You serious?

A 14-0 regular season doesn't sniff a 16-0 season. It's not Miami's fault (or Nebraska's), but it's absolutely a pro LSU/anti Nebraska point.

Its hilarious to think otherwise

What’s more impressive:

Beating the New Zealand army or the German and Japanese army?

Proffink says you can’t hold it against the army that went against new zeland
