What are you talking about? You are acting like Nebraska played a weak schedule. There’s was tough without an extra game against an FCS to pad stats against

95 Florida was a great team that some were crowning as the one if the greats before the Fiesta Bowl.

Nebraska shut them down 62-24.

They also beat 8 K Stare 49-25, 7 Colorado 44-21, 10 Kansas 41-3 combined with that 62-24 win over the second ranked team.

No one came close to beating them.

Nebraska beat very good teams as did LSU. Difference is Nebraska never had a team play them close. They had both an elite offense and elite Defense

The game against Florida was 35-10 at the half and 49-18 after 3 and wasn’t as close as the score showed.

Dude, it’s not debatable who has the more impressive season

Team a

15 wins
8 ranked wins
5 top 10 wins

Team b

12 wins
4 ranked wins
4 top 10 wins

Please, for entertainment sake, make an argument for the resume of team b

I don’t care if you tards want to argue the subjective eye test with the 24 year time machine

Team B didn’t have to schedule an FCS and played 2/3 non conference games against power opponents. Team B trailed once the ENTIRE season. Team B had no one stay within 2 TDS (and that wasn’t as close as the score). Team A had 3 teams stay within a TD

They played 3-8 Pacific who cancelled football after the season

They also played 6 teams that didn’t have a winning record

95 Nebraska didn't have remotely the schedule nor the 15 game resume that LSU has.

Lol yeah they only had #2 at a real neutral site. #5 and #9 on the road and #7 at home

A team that still had full scholarships. Them cancelling football had nothing to do with their competitiveness.

Nebraska had one cupcake - Pacific. They also played Michigan State, WSU and Arizona State

LSU had Game Southern, NSU and Utah State.

Can’t compare # of wins as the college landscape was different.

Sorry but LSU, while great and a great season, isn’t the greatest TEAM of all time

I’ll give them the nod for maybe the greatest season. Just not the greatest team.

LSU this year had a great offense and good defense

95 Nebraska and 01 Miami were great on both sides of the ball. That’s why I give them the nod

Im not really sure how you can separate the best season and the GOAT team. Wouldnt it lead itself to the best season most likely being the best team in history?

possibly the greatest team, but certainly the greatest season.

not quite as hard as:

2 neutral
4 neutral
6 neutral
7 home
9 away
13 home
20ish away(not sure final rank of Texas)
20ish home (not sure final rank of A&M)

Schedules then were 11 games. There were fewer rent a win games and teams played 6 hone 5 road games.

Much easier to have a winning record now when most power school have 8 home, 1 neutral site and 3 road games with 3 games at hone against rent a wins

You just have to go 4-5 against legit competition to have a winning record. 3-6 to make a bowl game

Numbers are inflated now due to schedule changes

What would you consider harder:

Winning 15 games or 12?

Beating 8 ranked teams or 4?

Beating 5 top 10 teams or 4?

Just given quick concise answers with no explanation

Winning 15 or 12 depends on the opponents.

Beating 8 or 4 depends on the number of games.

Beating 5 or 4 again depends on number of games.

LSU had a great season. Burrow just had the greatest season a passing QB has ever had.

Sorry, just can’t call them the greatest. While impressive they were not as dominant as 95 Nebraska and 01 Miami.

LSU had close games where they could have lost. 95 Nebraska was never challenged. They demolished everyone.

What LSU did to Oklahoma Nebraska did even worse to the #2 team

Some mother fricking retarded morons in this thread.

15-0, 7 top 10 wins, with all the accolades, stats, and the best player in college football history. Of course it's the best team in college football history. Anyone who disagrees deserves a downvote.

I did.

As an example

Team A wins 12 games. 4 over ranked teams. Team B wins 12 games. 7 over ranked teams Both national champions

Which is more impressive?

Without complete numbers you can’t tell.

However Team A is 95 Nebraska. Team B is 07 LSU.

By those numbers 07 LSU is better but without context they don’t tell the whole story.

I wish there was a time machine because LSU would destroy 95 Nebraska for sure.

They wouldn’t be able to handle a spread and Chase/Jefferson would frick up all the single coverage

Ok and in this time machine, who is blocking the Peter bros?
