There was modern training available for him then. He just punched tires and shot roids with stupid Mark Coleman. Modern Chuck would do 10k times better than Randleman. Chuck still had stone hands, a chin, and couldn't be taken or kept down.

Youre insane. Randleman was a NCAA wrestling champ and won it while yoinking his own broken jaw back into place.

He also did this to fricking Fedor.

and could jump out of the octagon if he wanted to

Chuck was god damn bouncer.

And for you to say that modern training was available. shite we are STILL in the sports infancy. If Kevin was at the modern day ATT or Elevation or AKA....would have been wild.

Old UFC videos, like original UFC 1 videos are crazy. Royce Gracie just snapping peoples arms willy nilly. fricking brutal.

If you were a kid in the 90s, renting old UFC 1, 2, etc., and watching Tank Abbott and Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock matches, as well as old Wrestlemania and SummerSlam tapes from the video store and watching them on a Friday night was one of the coolest things.

They was always a friend who had an older brother who told him about those fights and matches and told him which ones to get.

This was also during the time of 3 Ninjas, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and Tae Kwon Do sleepovers at the local skating rink, where they'd play Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee movies' till 3 am. Good damn times.

My favorite knockout by far was when Dan Henderson dropped Bisping with the thunder bomb. That overhand right Dan had was unreal.

I remember Tank Abbott fighting a guy and the other guy was landing kicks to Tank’s thighs at will and Tank called it quits before he ever landed a shot of his own. I still haven’t ever seen someone tap out from strikes while still standing.

chuck had the heaviest hands I’ve seen. Dude could blast u in blink

He was also very sloppy and raw. He would just start swinging like a wild man leaving himself wide open. Any kind of counter puncher would have their way with Chuck just Quinton Jackson did with relative ease. Once Chuck slightly aged as a figher he was easy pickings for everyone because he had such poor technique.

Chuck came in when ufc was dominated by wrestlers. He was an above average stand up fighter (yes with very heavy hand) that used his wrestling skills to keep the fight standing with these wrestlers. Most of them couldn't handle chucks’ standup. When he lost to rampage something happened to his chin, he went from a guy that could take serious shots to a guy that went down if a butterfly landed on him fairly quickly.

Rumble on his run at light heavyweight was the hardest puncher I had seen until Ngannou

This right here. I think pound-for-pound, Rumble might be the hardest puncher, although that Mortal Kombat-esque uppercut from Ngannou to Overeem is probably my favorite knockout.

Supposedly Rumble is wanting to comeback as a heavyweight, but still hasn't re-entered the USADA testing pool. Rumble as a heavyweight, even if he is 36, is beyond a scary thought

It was like once they(fighters) understood his timing it was all over. I know it’s not that simple but it seemed that way after his fall from grace

He couldn't create. He was a through and through counterpuncher.

True, Chuck was a pure counterpuncher, and when age slowed down his reflexes and weakened his chin, it was all over for him.

Still one of the beasts in the history of the sport.
