Format was a success, for the players and spectators. It could be a must play for all the top players if they move it away from the TPC

true, but there's no where to go at the moment ... and i think it has a very nice spot where it's at, weather aside ... nice break after a long run of fairly big tournaments leading to the masters ... gives them something to play in before the players without the grind/pressure of an individual tournament, and it's in a fun city ...

I would expect this to continue to be a major hit for the players. It's a little more laid back and it's in the absolute perfect city for an event like this. The players can relax, go to dinner, send their wives to jazzfest and they still get to play for good money. Just works for the Zurich IMO.

It was my first time to attend and I really enjoyed it. Will be going back next year for sure!

Somewhat of a hijack...

Will there ever be another Stableford scoring tournament, like the one in Colorado used to be?

I liked that format also.

Do both winners get Masters invite?

Neither get Masters invites, at least not from winning this tournament alone.

Think both winners got all the normal perks of a win that they would get if they had won it solo. Someone else maybe able to confirm that though.

Thurs - Best Ball
Fri - Alt Shot
Sat - Scramble
Sun - Best Ball

Definitely going to happen at some point. Alario couldn't stop the City Park project from going forward and he won't be able to stop the PGA from moving the tournament. It's a lot closer to downtown, a newer course, more prestigious design, PR benefit with the columbia parc stuff, and much richer history with most of golf's legends playing there in the pastr. The contract with TPC is up in 2019 and the tournament will then move to City Park in 2020.

Not a huge golf guy, so this may come off as dumb, but this tournament in no way effects the standings and does not serve as a qualifying event for other, larger events, correct?

Winners get full FedEx Cup points and a two-year PGA card but are not granted automatic entry to the U.S. Open or PGA Championship

Really? It isn't all that spectacular, they need room for spectators, a practice facility, and a lot more improvements before the tour leaves a TPC course owned by the tour.

Wrong

No clue what you're talking about.

Means nothing. See Lakewood/English Turn.

Seriously, remember what those Tour pros did to TPC the last few years?

The Tour winner on Sundays at Bayou Oaks would be -35.

It really is just a nicer version of what was there.

In no way is that course a Tour course. I don't care what format they have.

think they split the 1st and 2nd place fed ex pts, so it's 400 apiece instead of 500 ... gonna assume that 2 yr exemption is what they really want ...
