1927 Yanks went 110-44 and were champs. The 2003 the World champs were not the Braves, but the Marlins. A team that finished 10 games out of first in their division.

People still talk about the 27' Yankees. No one talks about the 2003 Braves...... Well, unless someone starts a random thread about them on the TG MSB. In which people will bring up the 27' Yanks.

1927 Yankees three guys batted .356 or better another guy mid 330's.
Ruth had 60 HR
Gehrig had 47

Cincinnati Reds
the 1970 team, which posted a regular season record of 102-60 and won the National League pennant.[9] Rookie and future-Hall of Fame manager Sparky Anderson headed the team,[10] which at its peak featured Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Pérez, and was supported by Dave Concepción, George Foster, César Gerónimo and Ken Griffey, Sr. [11] The eight players most frequently referenced as members of the Big Red Machine include baseball's all-time hit leader in Rose;[12] three Hall of Fame players in Bench, Pérez and Morgan; six National League MVP selections; four National League home run leading seasons; three NL Batting Champions; 25 Gold Glove winning seasons, and 63 collective All-Star Game appearances.[13] The starting lineup of Bench, Rose, Morgan, Pérez, Concepción, Foster, Griffey, and Gerónimo (collectively referred to as the "Great Eight") played 88 games together during the 1975 and 1976 seasons, losing only 19.[14]

Reds teams of the 1970s[edit]
The Cincinnati Reds of the 1970s garnered more World Series appearances than any other team during that decade, with an overall record of 953 wins and 657 losses.[15] They are the only National League team during the last 75 years to win back-to-back World Championships

Foster is in the 2nd tier. Foster was just the tenth player in major league history to reach 50 HR, and the first ever Cincinnati Reds player. His 149 RBIs also led the majors. He finished fourth in the NL in batting, missing the Triple Crown by .018 behind Dave Parker. He also led the NL in slugging percentage (.631), runs scored (124) and total bases (388).

The only impressive thing about that is 4 guys with 100 RBIs. That team couldn't win a world series lol

his RBI are only so low because he hit lead off. He did score 137 runs in his 152 games that year.
