I mean he is absolute dogshit now

He was slowing down in Seattle and his coach now got his job from his last name and because they wanted another QB.

No. He was pretty damn good for a while. Not so much right now.

For most of his career he had one of the best defenses in the league.
While being at the bottom end of average points scored per game.

The system was pretty much Russ extending plays and making magic. I just think he isn’t as athletic and good these days.

Wilson has been a declining player for about a year and a half.
He's not the guy he once was.

That Broncos woman fan after Wilson over-throws a receiver in the endzone.
"You're fricking kidding me?"

Wilson to Lockett was one of the great combos in the NFL for awhile. Those rainbow balls they’d hook up on really kept the stats nice.

he was fast and slick.
not quite as fast.
talks a good game.
we're about to find out if Denver made a big mistake.
so far the big mistake we've uncovered is San Fran @ sta Clara. multi firsts for a bad passer* who's already dinged. nominee for worst trade since jimmy Johnson snookered Minnesota.
* awful

He's def declined a bit, he did throw 40 TDs 2 seasons ago though, I think he can eventually get it together.

Not everyone can play till 45 like Tom. Wilson turns 34 in a month maybe he's just getting near the end. Bad news for Denver if that's the case which it's looking that way.
He was good in Seattle no doubt about it. Especially for a third rd pick.

Great play design, wide open receiver for a TD and he throws the ball like Shoelace.

Pete Carroll is looking like a genius, getting the world in trade for a QB he created.

He always held the ball too long, but his pure athleticism was enough to overcome that defect. This in turn made him highly a highly effective QB, and I suspect that would have been true for just about any system you put him in.
But now he’s old, that athleticism is rapidly waining, and he simply isn’t a very good quarterback anymore. And I once again suspect that would be true regardless of what system you put him in.
Denver for fleeced

He was more of an athletic QB as opposed to a pure passer.
Athletic QBs have a shorter shelf life in the NFL.
Favre, Brady, Brees - none of them are athletic QBs but they are pure passers.

This. Never understood the infatuation with him

He put up insane numbers through the first half of the 2020 season and then for some reason started slowing down mid season.

Had a 3-team parlay:
Broncos -3.5
U42
Matt Ryan o0.5 INTs that paid almost 6:1
Needless to say I hate fricking Russel Wilson. So many opportunities to score more points than they did throughout the ENTIRE game. The INT at the end of regulation was the cherry on top.

They are ALL system quarterbacks. There's not a coach out there who is telling his QB, whether a great player on his own merits or not, "hey, just go do what you do...we got ya back, dawg..."
