Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler underwent Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career on Tuesday, the Dodgers announced. Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the operation, which also included a repair to his flexor tendon.

The team had said earlier this month that Buehler would be having season-ending elbow surgery but had not specified it would be Tommy John. The recovery timeline for Tommy John surgery is typically 12-18 months.

That sucks. He is a great talent. Hopefully he can come back from a second one.

Skinny jeans/pants were the culprit. Nothing good comes of wearing those.

I assume you're kidding. Bauer will never pitch for the Dodgers again, even if his suspension is lifted and even if the Dodgers have to eat his contract. He's toast as far as L.A. is concerned

Such a shame Buehler has a lot of talent. Baseball needs to stop emphasizing velocity and spin as the be all and end all with pitchers. The game keeps chewing them up and spitting them out and the attitude of these teams seems to be “well we’ll just get more”. In my opinion they push these guys till they break down while they’re under club control so that they don’t have to pay them.

I was wondering why so many pitchers go down with tommy john surgery year after year. It's frustrating.

Sucks to hear. He's one of my favorite pitchers in baseball. Hope he recovers well.

He gets paid tens of millions of 100% guaranteed contract dollars to thow a baseball fast every 5 days or miss an entire year due to injury. I’d love to be chewed up and spit out like that.

That really sucks, hate seeing when players have to sit out an entire season that won’t even start for another 8 months.

Okay, I sent a memo to the new owners asking for a Dodgers team logo. Let's see how they respond. The new owners btw are two cousins from Korea who made their fortune in bootleg Kimchi. So far they've not shown a willingness to spend money so I'm not hopeful

I finally heard back from the new owners. As I mentioned before, these two cousins are Korean, and their English is not very good. It probably took them all this time to decipher my message. Btw, in an attempt to blend in, they have given themselves English names on td.com. They go by "He who clucks like a barnyard poultry", and "Offspring of carnival performer".

Anyway, they responded and gave a tentative okay, but they won't be the ones to create the logo. Their exact words were:
quote:

would need someone to make it...and it can't look like shite

So do you have any talent in this area? Do you know anyone who does?

Well this doesn't change much as they've already been crowned the GOAT team and will obviously win another piece of metal.
