It's about the social media clips. The ones you see on Facebook, Instagram. Etc. Those are the views that pay. Dana White has perfected this method with his business model

TV ratings prove nothing about Barstool. Barstool has always been online not TV. They’re bigger than ever on social.
Fox is trying to get online presence although I’m not sure how exactly this show helps that. Not exactly sure why Barstool wants a TV presence either. Not their bread and butter and don’t think there’s any real crossover potential.

What numbers was the show that was in that time slot before doing? Having a show targeted at males in the 20-35 age range starting at 6am ET doesn't sound like a great idea in general. Also, comparing it to First Take is just ignorant.

Breakfast Balls' ratings were awful but still better by like 10K viewers. First Things First is the only show they've created from the ground up that's succeeded.

I’ve always heard any ratings lower than 100k viewers is basically zero. They are just guessing at the real numbers because they are so low.
Surely a few people are tuning in, but it’s no guarantee, especially with numbers that low.

Barstool being limited to what they can say on TV also probably holds them back. Brandon Walker getting pissed and arguing with TBob does great online but you get the PG version on television

I think they are conceding that nothing will really work in that TV timeslot and with TV show being bad, may as well go for something that will do numbers on social media or YouTube.
