But he didn't. So explain why one of the best drivers in the world did? Explain why he was going that fast as he was going to pass him up?

Mikey preview your posts man
I think this is the first video of several that will come out. There has to be a wide shot of the track from an official track videographer. There are rumors of a go pro camera on TS's car.
It looks like TS hit him with the front right tire, rolled over him and then the back right tire kicked him out. Also ward was trying to get out of the way when he was hit.
Couple of things:
They were under yellow so TS should have been slowing way Down
The accident was in a straightaway going into a turn so why was stewart so high and not on the inside of the track avoiding the wreck?
Stewart had to be able to see him, he was coming out of a turn where the track opened up, so why didn't he steer away from him completely?
It looked like ward had stopped moving forward and was pointing at TS coming around, so why did TS pass so close to him?

All quite possible. Can't convict a guy on that, though. (I don't think you were calling for jailtime, so not really directed at you.)

Do you want it in slow motion
Can you do that?
I will make a slow motion gif if someone links the youtube video. All I see is the deadspin one and I can't download it.

All the other drivers were low on the track and throttling down while ol Tony was high on the track and throttling up.

I think everyone agrees with this; so, what is your point in saying it?
Not everyone agrees with it, go back a few pages and catch up.

Stewart hit the throttle in order to intimidate Ward. No doubt about that. He should've known hitting the throttle causes those cars to get sideways.

Same token, how can anyone say he tried to miss him?
i'm not saying he tried to miss him, but that video should exonerate TS in any sort of criminal investigation
that driver put himself in harm's way. end of story
now, is TS potentially civilly liable? maybe

If the rumors about TS telling his crew to change the tire are true then there are some questions about why and what was he thinking? Was he trying to cover up his actions and make an alibi and not just an explanation?

I take that to mean that you believe that this just doesnt happen, which is not true.
I know it happens but not nearly as often as people in this thread are saying it does and not nearly on the same level as what Ward done. I don't even see that behaviour from rednecks at the local track though I have seen them fight after races a few times.
You having to link 12 year old videos proves it isn't a regular occurrence to that extreme and the link of the one that happened yesterday is a whole different situation than what Ward done.
I took what Thib-a was saying as what Ward done was the norm and it's clearly not.

Even if this is the case, I don't see how TS could ever get charged for hitting a guy who is in the middle of the track.

well since the trolls who dont know shite about racing are out now, this thread is shite. Is Tony still racing today?
