You act like Stewart didn't see him until the last second. Everyone else seemed to move out of the way much earlier. You're telling me the best driver in the field was the only won to not see him?

I don't think he wanted to flip five times. He was going for six.
Was that under caution like this? Come on bro!

All of us think it's nuts because we've never done it, but these guys have been on tracks their entire lives and have likely done something like that numerous times, so it's not as big of a deal.
That's like saying someone isn't stupid for getting eaten by a great white because he's used to swimming with them.

Also, if the guy who hit him was another young guy with little track experience, then maybe I could buy the nothing but an accident theory a little more. But I think we all know the experience Stewart has on the track...even a dirt track.
Stewart is a dick bag and could have probably easily avoided this by doing what all the other racers did. But I don't think he did anything illegal.

That's my point. I'm not saying Stewart did or didn't try and give the kid a scare, I fricking hate nascar I have no dog in the fight. But you can't tell shite from that video, if that's the only evidence we were going off of he wouldn't be found guilty of shite. Of course they can and probably will have other evidence to call on, but we are not privy to those at the moment

That's like saying because a guy in a sawmill juggled chainsaws during slow periods at work it's somehow safe for him to do because he worked around saws.
Some great quotes in this thread

I don't have the ability to zoom in and slow down the video, but does it look like the kid attempted to dive out of the way at the last second?

I have been around dirt racing for 21 years, helped operate a dirt track my parents owned for 12 years - drivers getting out of their cars after rocks to show their displeasure with another driver happens quite a bit more than you would think - all though it is a big no-no. It was clear to me TS was going to give him a "buzz by" and obviously got to close. This wont end well for TS - I'm not a lawyer so won't speculate what criminal consequences there may be, but from a PR standpoint he is screwed.

To clarify, it's involuntary manslaughter if Ward dies, obviously. But if he lives, it still looks like a potential lesser charge.

Stewart is protected by Corps and money.
Nothing will come of this.
It will be labeled as a "tragic accident."
as I said initially, sad but true

Yep. I don't even follow racing that closely and I know Tony Stewart is a collosal shithead.

All conjecture, no proof.

you prove that and you have something
but you can't just say he was trying to intimidate him or buzz by him because "you just know that was what he was trying to do"

I'm going by common sense
He knew where the wreck was, its not like it just jumped out at him out of nowhere
