Sometimes I hate the internets.
There are a-hole sources putting the word "video" in their headline as link bait but don't have a video at all.

Guess I'll heat up a couple of corndogs and watch the news.

I would think yes and no. This is where the video would help us out. The race was under caution so chances are the cars weren't going more than 50 but we don't know that. Was Stewart riding higher than the rest of the cars? Was the kid running at Stewarts car? Was Stewart going faster than other cars? who knows at this moment.

nothing of substance anyway
condition of kid unknown and more info to come when it becomes available
blah blah blah

But you would have to think walking onto an active race track would mean something as far as being liable for you getting hit.
Just because the kid made a hotheaded decision doesn't clear Stewart of his even more hotheaded decision

that random arizona station's IT guy is going to see the hits on their live feed and be quite puzzled

It's gonna be tough to convict him.
At you even allowed to get out of your car while in caution or while cars are moving around the track?
Are you obligated to not hit shite while racing? Another car, a bouncing tire..anything. All TS had to say is I looked down at my shoe and then this horrible accident happened.
I'm very ignorant to racing but there seem like endless defenses for this and a guy was running around a damn track..
Horrible what happened though. If it was on purpose TS can rot.

ESPN said he was 17...the kid is 20. His website says he was 4 in 1998 and celebrated his 20th birthday this year.

At least they're acknowledging it now

I'm starting the 30 for 30 script.

Depends on where they are in relation to the caution. Very common to see guys going full throttle to catch up to the field, on the same track where safety crews/drivers are out.

Is someone who runs over a jaywalker above reproach? Assuming all this happened, it shouldn't be difficult to get at least that charge. "Did Tony hit him? Did the.victim leap in front of.him? If those answers are yes and no, then tony will be convicted of something

My source was told Kevin Ward had passed. Hospital now saying driver battling serious injuries. Glad we were wrong.
Take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully he pulls through.
