With the police I'd imagine. Whoever owned it probably didn't post it to social media, so it's not available online. Of course, that's just a guess, but I haven't seen it anywhere.

The sheriff confirmed yesterday that there is a second video from a fan that they were evaluating. I have not seen a link to it anywhere.

FB messaged an old friend from upstate NY who used to race sprint cars on dirt and asphalt. Asked him a few questions on the vision on sprint cars etc.. His take wasn't that you couldn't see anything out the right side of a winged sprint but rather you rarely if ever look in that direction, especially in a turn. You are looking to where you want it to turn, using wheel and gas to do that. The only exceptions he said was peeking right in straightaways as you entered a turn to see if anyone had a wheel above you going into the turn. Under caution their wouldn't have been a need to even do that. He also had an interesting take that since Tony is used to spotters, pit communication and everything that goes with high end nascar racing he may not have been pay attention to his surroundings as much as a sprint specific racer. The guy was nails in a super modified but loved sprint cars even more so I am listening to him more than a tv show leech.

The more I read, the more I think this was just a terrible accident caused by poor judgement on ward's part
ETA Is it possible that ward was trying to make a name for himself and get on sportscenter? The wreck wasn't that big a deal, seems pretty normal for that kind of racing

I really don't understand why he decided to do that on the track, most of the time with this type of racing its taken car of in the pit area man to man

Possible. No way of knowing what he was thinking. Maybe trying to say he wasn't going to take shite from anyone. The last trip that Stewart made to that track he admitted to causing a large multi-car wreck that injured another driver. He took credit for the wreck but the other driver said it was just a racing incident.
Getting on Sportscenter was probably far from his mind. He probably had no idea that anyone would be taking video.If Ward isn't hit by Stewart's car then no one outside of the racing world would have ever known about a confrontation.
Also the Sheriff has called a press conference for 3:00 pm Central time. No questions will be allowed.
