People say that they heard the engine rev up and he gassed it. In a sprint car, the only way to steer is you steer with the rear wheels as much as you do the steering wheel. In my opinion, what he did was he gassed it to turn down away from him," said Sparks.
By no means am I disagreeing with this in general, but it doesn't seem like Tony's car turned at all, correct?

This is why racing cars is the stupidest fricking sport in the world.

Also, Stewart should be charged with at least manslaughter. He should be stripped of any titles, and he should be banned from competition for life.

Manslaughter. You know, recklessly causing the death of another person? Thanks for your cheeky response.

Ontario (N.Y.) County Sheriff Philip Povero, who announced on Tuesday that the investigation is continuing, has said his initial findings have turned up nothing that would indicate criminal intent in the crash at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night.

But legal experts agree that does not mean Stewart is in the clear.

The NASCAR star could be charged with second-degree manslaughter under New York law if prosecutors believe he ‘‘recklessly caused the death of another person,’’ with negligent homicide another possibility, according to criminal law professor Corey Rayburn Yung of the Kansas University School of Law.

Don't you have to kinda sorta maybe have enough proof to do everything you've said that should be done first?

I think the point he's making is that you think he should be charged with manslaughter based on no evidence.

ETA: Yup.

Maybe he should, who knows. But the dude banned him for life when not a single one of us know the true story.

Sure the charge will depend on evidence, and he would obviously receive a trial. You guys seem to want to believe there is no evidence.

Oh well, have fun with your shitty death sport.

The difference between you and me is that you've already made up your mind as to his guilt based on the one video that doesn't show anything.

If you've got more evidence than the one video that is currently available and that's what you're making your decision on, then let's see it.

Wait, what? I said nothing of the sort. In fact, you're the one that is guilty of this, just going the other way. You want him charged based on...well I don't know what.

But you've decided he should be charged and banned for life based on what evidence?

I've never watched a second of Nascar in my life. Not sure how many more times you could have been wrong in one short post as you were here.

Isn't that ironic that he's done this but then accuses others of having their minds made up that there's no evidence?

That quote is from another driver who was behind Stewart when the accident happened. It was his perspective.

If you watch the video Stewart's car does make a turn towards the right either shortly before or at contact with Ward.

People who claim they here the engine rev up are only speculating. There is no way of know what car engine is being heard on the video.

For the poster who said that Stewart should be stripped of titles:

Why and what titles are you referring to?
